Poll on Theatre Programmes: 115 responses (about 8 a day)

33% think the most important function is 'actor recognition'.
30% say 'audience information'

....pretty wide scope, and pretty well covers it.

a cynical 12% say "to screw cash from punters".
...Programmes are a good source of revenue. Can be highly overpriced though.

10% think it's important for "story synopsis".
...but please don't give the plot away before the house lights even dim!

Quite a low response (4% each) think "directors notes"
....(I would've thought more important than story synopsis);

and "acknowledge sponsors etc"
...maybe actually the MOST important function of programmes, although obviously not the most popular!

Thanks to whoever posted this one. Please keep suggesting polls...!
