Dark of the Moon: an ACTT Professional Actor Program Production adapted and directed by John O'Hare. Dark of the Moon is the story of love and desire between a witch boy and a beautiful girl. Set in the Appalacian mountains of Kentucky with some rip-roarin’ hillbilly song ‘n’ dance, this adaptation also draws upon contemporary supernatural themes as it tells a story that will appeal as much to anyone brought up on the cult TV series ‘True Blood’ as Shakespeares ‘Romeo and Juliet’. On the cusp of entering the industry as professionals, ACTT's graduating class of 2011 present this unique and daring adaptation of the 1939 dramatization by Howard Richardson of the centuries old Celtic/European folk song "The Ballad of Barbara Allen. Come and see the next wave of Aussie talent strut their stuff True Blood-style!
