Foreign film extras in Australia

Hi all, Does anyone know if it is possible for a UK national to seek film extra work on the working holiday visa? Does the MEAA union prevent this or is extra work on screen and stage open to all? I will be in Aus soon and would like to work as a film extra if I can.
