Just wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a special effects theatre makeup course. If we can get 10 people or more, Midland TAFE will organise the course for us. The course will run for 7 weeks at 2 hours per week, the cost is about $110- for the course, then there is $83- for materials which will include a basic special effects makeup kit which you keep. If anyone is interested can they please email me on weavie@tnet.com.au this week as I need to let the TAFE know either way. TA!

Re: special effects theatre makeup

Hi there!

I'm currently studying 3D animation and have been hunting around for an additional course in special effects makeup - my machines playing up so I'm not sure what date you left the message but if you need numbers definitely count me in!

If I'm too late, do you know of any schools that are running good courses as I've pretty much come to a dead end.

Cheerio!

If you do the course, let me know what its like as im planning to come to melb. later in the year! Swinbourne tafe also has a dip in makeup that covers sfx, but that is over one year.

Re: special effects theatre makeup

I am very interested in joining a special effects makeup course in Adelaide that is affordable, and allows you to be individually conceptually creative with materials.

Re: special effects theatre makeup

This course is going to be held in Perth. For those in other states, I suggest you contact your local TAFE's or else there may be SFX make up courses advertised in the local papers.
Anyone in Perth who wants to do this, should contact Amanda by email as she asks, not just add threads to this, as she may not read them in time.
Cheers,
Chris
