TAFTA

Hello all, I'm just wondering whether anyone has studied/worked with TAFTA (Aus Film & TV Academy) in Sydney? I'm considering their 20 week Acting course Thanks so much Libby

Put a post up on www.Dare2audition.com.au as a lot of our actors have done TAFTA workshops. I can only comment on the Melbourne one and the 5 day intensive. as we have 4 seats in this workshop as a prize over the 3 past years, and feedback has always been positive. but I do not know if Sydney has the same format, teahcers etc. If you add a post in our forum you will find some Sydney actors to answer you, as this forum is generally monitored by Perth theatre actors and crew, who may not be privy to work or services in Sydney.

I have recently switched to TAFTA (Melbourne) from my old acting place which I won't name, but since starting there I am so impressed. I'm finally getting constructive feedback on my acting and know how to improve! They are very organised, helpful and professional. I received footage from scenes we filmed in class on a DVD only one week after shooting. They also have very good ties with casting directors so it looks good on your resume that you study there. Only one bad thing I have to say about them is the class is a little too big. I think it would be better if they cut down numbers a bit. Overall I'm very happy with them and will be signing up for another course after this one. Definitely recommend them to any actor.
