2011 Acting Summer School!
6 January – 6 February 2011

To bring in 2011 with a bang The Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT) will be running an acting summer school between 6 January and 6 February 2011.

With a wide range of workshops and courses to suit all ages and levels, this is the place to play, learn, discover, imagine, stretch boundaries, develop skills and gain confidence.
All Summer School classes can be booked online at www.actt.edu.au

For beginners: For people who want to dive into acting in January there are great beginners intensive courses, Acting Essentials 1, Acting Essentials 2 and Screen Acting Intensive which enable participants to accomplish in 2 or 3 weeks what would otherwise have taken eight weeks!

For Advanced Actors:  There are energising Advanced Improvisation classes which promise to be a lot of fun, a Music Theare Intensive and a Voice Accents & Dialects Intensive concentrating on Standard American and US Dialects.

There are also some really special one-day classes for advanced actors which will be taken by senior tutors: These include a Morris System studio-based instrument conditioning workshop with Kate Hankin and a Meyerhold/ Le Coq Intensive with Fiona Malone that is a great way to develop all-important movement and physicality on stage and screen.

For Young People: There is a Youth Acting & Filmmaking Intensive concentrating on making short films for the web, and a HSC Play Devising workshop.

About ACTT: Based near C:entral Station, ACTT is a specialised actor training college running cutting-edge programs for professional stage and screen actors, music theatre performers, stage managers and lighting & sound operators. ACTT runs part-time and full-time courses, evening and weekend classes for everyone from beginner to advanced level, along with an inspiring program for teenagers, called ACTTivate Youth.
