For those who want to act professionally
This course is suitable for those who have previous acting training or/and some experience performing on the stage or in front of the camera. It is based on MICHAEL CHEKHOV ACTING TECHNIQUE.
Using psycho-physical exercises and movements that generate emotions we improvise and rehearse scenes and monologues. It is a unique intuitive approach to inspirational acting. In the class we activate the mind-body connection through exercises, which prepare your imagination and body to perform. The aim of this workshop is to teach actors how to use Michael Chekhov Acting Technique as a way to improve and apply their own talent.
The course starts on 7 February and runs for 8 Mondays until the 28 March 2011.

Who is Michael Chekhov?
Michael Chekhov (1891 - 1955) was the nephew of the playwright Anton Chekhov and was widely recognized as one of the greatest actors of the 20th century. He taught his acting technique to Hollywood stars: Gary Cooper, Marilyn Monroe, Gregory Peck, Patricia Neal, Clint Eastwood, Anthony Quinn, Ingrid Bergman, Jack Palance, Lloyd Bridges, Anthony Hopkins, Elia Kazan, Mala Powers, Marlon Brando… (list goes on).
