Acting Classes - worldwide screen actors online, is it worth it?

Hey everyone, i know this is technically a "screen acting" thing rather than theatre, but wasnt sure where else to ask this question. Ive recently been doing some acting classes with Worldwide Screen Actors Online, which i think are good, but recently was asked if i wanted private tuition to 'hone' my skills. Apparently i have "It/the X factor" and thinks i should seriously consider a future acting career and get some proper training. Has anyone else worked with Loren Johnson and done private tuition? Is it worth the money? ($110- is this average pricing?) he said he's willing to work something out to make it more affordable, but it is still quite a large step especially since im studying full time as well. My parents are also worried he might be dodgy.. haha, i dont think he is, BUT it would be GREAT for peoples personal experiences and advice. thanks! :D

Do not know him. Have only heard of him so I won't offer any opinions. I will make a suggestion...

Google his name along with Redback and see what you get. Again, that may say nothing about the motives of the man himself, but it makes for interesting reading.

Best you can do is do what research you can before making a decision.

I think you should give it a shot. I have personally had lessons with Loren and I have had a great improvement, in not just my acting but also my personal confidence. He is a great teacher and you will definitely learn a lot and you will see a big improvement. I think it is a lot to pay, especially when you are a full time student(like myself) but I felt for myself, it was worth the money. I hope I helped you with your decision. Jason.

Just do it!

Hi I have done many classes with Lorena nd found him to be a very professional teacher. He is honest and work closely with his students and makes sure that he get's the best out of you. The best thing to do is to give it a shot and see how it goes. The only way I find out if anything is good at all is to try it myself. Goodluck

Challenge

If you're up to the challenge I think you will get out what you put into it. SAO is relatively new but the classes are constantly full, the people very friendly and helpful and are only there for you!!! Give it a go. If you're not happy, don't do another private. But I bet you will ;-) Knowledge is power!!

Hey again, I posted a comment before about Loren's classes and I just wanted to give you a little update on my personal success I have just had, its pretty much thanks to Loren. I had never had a proper audition before because I was too nervous and shy to even think about it. I have recently had 3 auditions, within about four days and I have been successful with 2 of them. I am soo excited about that and I really wanted to share that with the people who might be considering having Lessons with Loren. He's a great teacher and im sure you will love working with him.
