New site: alpha version
Fri, 29 Mar 2002, 02:30 pmFor those that don't realise: alpha version means that it's not even usable, but it might give you some ideas. Only the foums and display of events are currently impelemented - everything else is broken.
A couple of much requested changes are implemented
- preview button
- login feature
- MUCH faster
Check it out and let me have your ideas, this could be up before the end of the Easter weekend
:-)
CheersGrant

It looks good !!
If pressed for any negatives - perhaps the links at the top of the screen (under the title) are a little subtle for newbies...having said that, I think, on the whole the layout is better... BRILLIANT !!
I like the "How many people are here counter."

Re lack of drop down menu on new site -
Grant, it appears that mouseover doesn't work in IE. I have Netscape 6.2 and IE 6 - works with the former, not the latter.
doesn't work with Opera 5.2 either. Ok, I have 3 browsers.

Still tweaking for Opera
I'll have a text-based alternative for non-JS browsers... but that may take a couple of days yet.
keep the comments coming!

Soooo, you have the Special version of IE6, eh? The one that works. I don't have Mozilla but the site works fine with Nutscape 6.2.

You want me to try it with Neoplanet, or is that overkill? (ok, four browsers. I have four browsers.)
