Let those pantyhose go – to a good home
Thu, 13 May 2010, 12:35 pmTHE Maylands Autumn Centre is on the hunt for pantyhose people no longer require.
Whether new, used, laddered or full of holes, the Cancel Council urgently requires pantyhose to make skull caps for wigs.
“All donations are greatly appreciated, whether it’s one pair or a dozen pantyhose,” Maylands Autumn Centre coordinator Dale Shenton said.
“We just ask people don’t cut off the legs because the pantyhose will be cut to suit the design used.”
All donated pantyhose must be clean – but stockings and similar items are not suitable for making skull caps.
Pantyhose can be dropped off from 8am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, at the Maylands Autumn Centre, 55 Ninth Avenue, Maylands.
Alternatively, pantyhose can be taken to City of Bayswater Civic Centre at 61 Broun Ave, Morley, from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
For more information, call 9271 2705.
