Have a lark – spend an Evening in the Park

Free family fun will come to the fore with the annual Evening in the Park celebration on March 5, hosted by the City of Bayswater Library and Information Service. From 6pm, Bert Wright Park – behind Bayswater Public Library on King William Street – will feature fun and frivolity from DJ Avi, Old MacDonald’s Travelling Farm, Fire Engine Fun, The Cheeky Green Fairy, Greg Smith caricatures and storytelling with Fairy Queen Caroline. Other free activities include face painting, bubble fun, a basketball hoop shooting competition, craft activities and games that include chances to win prizes. Families are invited to bring a picnic or enjoy the sausage sizzle, ice cream fairy floss and drinks on sale. Bayswater Public Library will also be open until 8pm.
