Wouldn't YOU like to know????

Hee hee hee... if you cast your febrile mind back to my first response to your first post, you will note I mentioned that I wouldn't "leave it" (sic) until my nomination was rescinded. I even said "Do it, ITA; I dares ya!" Quite simply, they called my bluff. One of the adjudicators told me they would be quite prepared to remove me from the list- if that is what I wanted. (Make of that what you will... and I just KNOW you will!)... So for five minutes, I sat there- wondering if I really had the balls to stand up and act on the courage of my flippant convictions... turns out yes, I did. I confirmed it was what I felt was required, and without a murmur I was discreetly off the list. I will at this juncture point out, highlight and compliment the supreme gallantry, tact and generosity of spirit in which the Finley committee have handled this. As much I give the Finleys a whole bucket of crap, this whole issue was handled by them with a graciousness that can only be commended. Does this answer your question... you anonymous swine??? ;-) Eliot McCann

to be honest it's all quite

to be honest it's all quite embarrassing. i would firstly congratulate the finley award comittee for calling your bluff, as you have done nothing but show contempt and disrespect towards them. i dont know you but from reading what you have posted throughout this tacky affair you have behaved like a petulant child. i have no doubts what so ever that you would not have won the award you were nominated for, and i think deep down you might have known that, therefore you have fabricated some kind of face saving campaign, that has belittled the finleys and shown very little respect for those that have been nominated. i am just so glad the comittee has trumped you and you now pipe down and let the rest of the people who are grateful and respectful to enjoy their evening. good luck to all. and well done finley...much respect!

Embarrassing? For whom?

I'm not in the least bit embarrassed by the outcome, the events leading up to it, or my behaviour. Obviously, you feel I should be- sorry to diappoint. You posit: "i have no doubts what so ever that you would not have won the award you were nominated for, and i think deep down you might have known that, therefore you have fabricated some kind of face saving campaign, that has belittled the finleys and shown very little respect for those that have been nominated". Yet I fail to see how my actions have done any of this. Maybe I wouldn't have won- but by not being in the running that is now guaranteed, and everyone is fine with that; except you it would seem. You have exhibited nothing but a bizarre predatory relish in seeing me fall on my face; in which case, it'd be better to see me do that onstage, and not on a forum page. So let's just leave it at that... even I think I'm getting daft now... far too much like crgwllms ;-) El.

not at all, there is no

not at all, there is no relish...just a dislike to your attitude. the fact that you post 'maybe i would have won' is completely disrespectful, as the winner of that award, im sure would feel a whole lot better if they new that they were indeed ajudged to be the best that year, however, now you claim it could have been you. like i said i'm sure you wouldnt have, however, your arrogance is such that you have to state that you might have won it. pathetic. your right lets leave it at that!
