Perth Feature Film
Mon, 7 Dec 2009, 03:10 amHi all
My name is Lynnette, and I will be shooting a full length feature film in February 2010.
To start off – I have never done a film before, only a small play many years ago, and I have not received any funding, this is coming out of my own weekly wages. In saying this… no one will get paid (unfortunatly)– this is volunteer work, however – catering will be supplied on location, and all participants will be invited to the private screening at the end of filming.
KITTENS Of WOODLAKE is set in Perth Australia in the 1960’s – and tells the story of the girls who work at a local Jazz Club. It is about the girls finding their own freedom & independence, finding love & friendship, and coping with loss and hardship.
With music from Lesley Gore, The Easy Beats, and other great Perth Bands & International acts – this movie will really take the audience back into the early 60’s in Australia.
As majority of the filming will be done in a bar, and some at night – we will not be casting anyone under the age of 18.
Dates of filming will be from February the 23rd to March the 1st 2010, so you will need to be available during those dates. One scene will be shot at 11.00pm to 1.00am on Thursday the 26th of February.
Majority of the location will be done in the Swan Valley, Guilford and Midland.
Although certain costumes & uniforms will be provided, you will need to come dressed in your own clothes – no labels, and late 50’s, early 60’s inspired.
We need a cast of all ages, both male & female for extra work and main characters.
If you are interested, please email me at:
kittensofwoodlake@live.com
I will email you back with further details.
Also - some female roles require acting and cabaret style dancing – please advise if you are comfortable with doing that and I will send you those particular details as well.
Thanks everyone.

Just a few questions. You
Just a few questions.
You say you have never done a film before, only one short play? OK. Do you have a script? How many rewrites or drafts have been done? Do you have a script editor? Have you had any experience behind the camera or in front of the camera? Do you have a producer? Do you have a Director of Photography? Have you any training at all in film production (i.e. TAFE, FTI, University etc)? Have you worked out a budget? Have you storyboarded the script (if you have one that is)?
If you can't answer any of these you could very well be wasting your time and money and probably everybody elses.

Re: Walter De Mille
Dear Walter
Thank you for your comment; however,
I think it would have been much nicer to email myself directly, with the email I did include in my post, rather then posting a negative responce on a public forum.

Kittens movie
I had the pleasure to work with Lynnette, the crew and cast on this endeavour and are proud to have been a part of this new and exciting film. The standard and effort put in by all is anything to go by I'm sure the movie will be excellent.
Thanks for the opportunity Lynnette.
