FYI:
Indira McDonald is LEAVING WA at the end of October! (I am EVERY shade of green imaginable! Yes - all at once!) She is yet another huge WA talent who has succumbed to Melbourne's own "call of the wild" heard by artists everywhere.

Indi, my co-actor, director and most importantly my dear long-time friend, I will miss you. What a mammoth loss to the Perth theatre scene. I admire you for following your dreams...lots of us think about it. I know your brilliance will take you far but don't forget to come home once in a while.

Oh....and if you have any roles suitable for a.....yeh, you know :-)

Much love, luck and happiness
Jen, El and Davis xxx (Davis can clap his hands now so he would be useful too!)

Jenny, Indira and I worked together for the first time in a play called 'Ring for Jeeves' at KADS in 1991 (?). We worked together again in a play called 'Wolf Lullaby' at The Rechabites Hall in 2001. In that time we have made choices, and we have learned by them. What does not alter with time or circumstance, however, is ther capacity to trust and a desire to create work that is memorable, has integrity, is innovative, and contributes something positive to society. Indira is now an experienced actor, visual artist, writer and director and as a result her ability to express her ideas has been widened considerably. However, despite the fact that she's achieved so much via WAAPA et al, she's worked hard, with sincerety and she's never forgotten about the people who have been contributors to her success. I am excited by Indira's potential, and I know that she will go on to bigger things. What's more important is that Indira will tell her stories of how she arrived there, and how her success will bring satisfaction to so many other people that have been there along the way. No bullshit, no whinging, no unrealistic expectations - just bloody getting on with it.

laa dee daa...la, la, la,
