Old Features and Bug Fixes
Thu, 19 Mar 1998, 01:11 pmApparently the site has been causing some people grief when they try and access it. Some of these problems arise from old versions of the site being stored in the web browser's cache memory. If you know of anyone having difficulties you might suggest that they hold down their shift key and click Refresh or Reload in their browser - this should force the browser flush its cache and reload the website. Please contact me if you are aware of any persisitant problems - it's still early days and there will almost certainly be bugs to iron out. Finally, I have decided to remove the Java news ticker from the top of the screen. I didn't want to risk anything that might restrict access for some users to the site.CheersGrant

Your personal settings can be remembered between visits. For a short cut to Search/Personalize Display click here.LIVE CHATThis would be a wonderful feature! I have considered it and may implement it once there is a little more traffic at the site (perhaps you'd like to get a few interested parties together to lobby for it, Pat!).ICQ CHATIn the meantime, I strongly recommend people download and install ICQ (I Seek You) which is available for most computers. This is a great way of staying in touch and includes a chat facility.ICQ is free! and can be found at http://www.icq.com/download. To find out more visit the ICQ home page.My Unique Identification Number (the quickest way to find me on ICQ) is 2239493.CheersGrant
