Some philistines might consider this an occasion for a large celebration...

;-)

Apparently Chorion Intellectual Properties, who control the rights to virtually all of Agatha Christie's work have "imposed a moratorium on all licensing of Agatha Christie's plays".

Lots of related links. Read it and weep!

RE: No More Agatha Christie?

Judging from the quality of Agatha Christie's fiction- it's no sad loss really.

That's not at all kind, remeber not to judge one age by the standards of another!
Great plays they may not be, but I personally have quite enjoyed being murdered in at least three of them over the years.
(And they DO get bums on seats)

RE: No More Agatha Christie?

Back off, good old fasioned who-dunnit hater. I loved all of her books AND the Mousetrap when I was in London. Don't you try to tell me that you picked the twist in the Murder of Roger Ackroyd; or have you not read it and are purely judging from the fact she never won a Pulitzer?

One persons crap is another persons lovely curl up in bed with the PJ's on and a whodunnit to read lovely memory.

RE: No More Agatha Christie?

I think only Americans are allowed to win a Pulitzer. If she was American, she would undoubtably have won it. Aside from that, I 'm curious to know if Grant had made a fingerslip here on the subject title. He seems to have put a question mark where an exclamation mark should have been.

RE: No More Agatha Christie?

And let's not forget that if it weren't for Agatha's prolific works, there would have been no inspiration for the legendary "Farndale Avenue Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery"!
