Hello everyone! Just doing another shameless plug for Life of Galileo. All the details can be found here http://www.theatre.asn.au/production/2009/the_life_of_galileo I urge all supporters of Perth Theatre to come along and support a wonderfully talented ensemble of Youth actors performing a highly relevant and seldom seen Brecht play. Those of you who know me or have read my blogs on this website will know that I am truly a big fan of Brecht's work. This does not mean however that I am interested in staging a museum piece. The cast and I have been through a highly collaborative rehearsal process to ensure that the voice of the play is modern. Apart from all this I might mention that WAYTCo needs your support. We are WA's premier youth theatre company providing opportunities for emerging artists to interact and learn from seasoned industry professionals. WAYTCo now provides opportunities for emerging directors, like myself, to be mentored in the same way that actors have previously been mentored by the company. I have been very fortunate to have had Phil Thompson mentoring me through the process of directing Galileo. In order for programs such as this to keep running we do however need the support of Perth's theatre going communities. So I urge you to come see Life of Galileo!

I had some fabulous experiences at WAYTCo in my younger days, and it's great to see young directors getting in on the act (pun only intended after I realised I'd punned). I look forward to seeing the show, mate. "Galileo Galileo Galileo figaro, magnifico oh oh oh." freddie the rocking jedi badger
