I was recently in Melbourne & decided to go to the theatre with my Sister in law. There were 2 or 3 shows which were of interest and it was difficult to decide. Then Janet (my SIL)suggested that since I was residing at a city Hotel I may wish to go to half tics(I think that's what it was called)& see what they had. This place was just a small booth set up in the Bourke St Mall and there they sell half price tickets to any show, from participating Theatres (if available) to THAT EVENINGS PERFORMANCE.
They had reviews of the shows,& the ticket seller had personally seen most of the shows on sale and therefore gave his own reactions to various shows. And I thought "What a great idea"
I wonder if there would be any interest in a similar initiave in Perth!
I don't know what the business structure was but I imagine it would be based on a % of sales or similar.

RE: Cheapies.

Dear Peter
Yes, this is a good idea. Just a couple of days ago I was told of a similar scheme on-line at http://www.perth.sparetickets.com.au which we will look at for our next production. In the meantime I'd like to repeat our offer of $10 tickets to ITA members who may wish to attend our current production 'Emerging From The Collective Unconscious' running until Sat 18th August. Just let the door people know you heard about it through ITA.
Regards,
Tina

RE: Cheapies.

My apologies Peter. I should have referred you to the details on the 'what's on' site. Emerging From The Collective Unconscious is playing at The Blue Room, 53 James St, Northbridge, in Perth WA. Hope to meet you there.

Tina
