Getting a Company together
Mon, 13 Aug 2001, 12:37 pmHi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how I should go about starting a theatre compnay of my own. It seems there just arn't enough positions for young theatre makers outside of universities.
I have seen some posts about youth theate in WA, but here I am in NSW, and there is not much doing that I can see.
Any advice or anything that anyone can offer would be great.
Thanks,
Danne

The opportunities are there alright - i only spent six months in Sydney, but the place was humming and brimming over with opportunities for young people... admittedly i'm talking seven years ago.

The issue is the lack of effective communication strategies. Encourage and cajole your local theatres to list their details here. That way they can keep everyone informed, engaged, involved and interested - irrespective of age.
