Theatre company seeking guys!
Fri, 23 Jan 2009, 10:40 pmSo here we are again! Another production looming ('Bannockburn! The 'almost' true story.'and once again, a lack of suitable young men to fill major roles! Yes Danni! I know I should write for the lassies, and things will be easier, but that's for days of future passed...reet noo! We're on the hunt for that rarest of beasts... the wild "Scottish Highlander!'
I'm reliably informed that there are thousands of Scots scattered over this here state, well we're going to find the buggers! Last time I went in search of a dwarf, and failed miserably. This time I refuse to give in! So, if any of you actors out there, know of Scottish actors, or actors who can pretend to be Scots (note: that doesn't include your friends who hide under the table when it's their roond!) can yee let me know? Oh, and I'd be interested to hear of other avenues for finding male actors , for we may neeed to spread the net far and wide. We will of course target, Celtic clubs and the like. Let's see what a new day brings. All help would be most appreciated.

Personally, I've never been a guy, never will be a guy and only just tolerate (through gritted teeth) being referred to as a guy. After all, I'm not a dummy or a piece of sailing ship rigging, I'm not American and my name certainly isn't Guy. No, I'm a BLOKE and proud of it!

Come on all you young blokes, I've seen the script and it's very funny as well as conveying an anti-war message. Some of us old blokes can't get away with playing twenty-year-olds any more, so . . . we need you!
