'A Little Princess' December 17-20
Mon, 24 Nov 2008, 04:09 pmLooking for a great way to have fun with your kids these holidays without the hassle of today’s entertainment costs? Bring them to the theatre! With song, dance and even a little bit of magic, the Schonell Theatre has been transformed into a world of wonder and excitement for the MESHpresents Christmas production of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s ‘A Little Princess’.
MESHpresents the classic story of young Sara Crewe, taken to boarding school in London when her beloved father, Captain Crewe, is called abroad. Wealthy and generous, intelligent and kind, and in possession of a wonderful gift for make-believe, Sara is popular with her fellow students and the greedy headmistress, Miss Minchin. When news reaches the school on her eleventh birthday that her father has disappeared, Sara is left penniless. Miss Minchin reluctantly keeps her as a servant girl in the school. Sara faces harsh adversity in her new life but through her strength, goodness and power of imagination, survives to become an inspiration for kids, teens, grown-ups - and little princesses everywhere.
With tickets at $9/Child, $12/Conc, $14/Adult and $45/Family, bookings are strongly recommended to secure your seats for this strictly limited season. ‘A Little Princess’ will run at the Schonell Theatre in St Lucia from December 17th-20th, with matinees at 11am Wednesday-Friday and 7:30pm performances on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th. A percentage of profit from this production will be used to establish our sponsorship of a child in need through WorldVision.
Starring Bonnie Cooper, Jodie Sibley, Raul Hernandez and Chrissie Bernasconi, directed by Laura M Meldon, ‘A Little Princess’ is not to be missed these Christmas holidays. Call MESHpresents on 0434 900 745 or visit www.meshpresents.com.au to book your tickets today.
