Trevor White

Yes Trevor White is the Co owner of LPA Entertainment Australia but you are not talking to Trevor White at the moment you are talking to the co founder of Backstagejobs.com.au. But from what i just got told from Trevor White you are the founder of www.thepromptcopy.com, and Puppets in Melbourne. Yes Trevor advised me you will be the first to reply to our forum topic and all ways are. Trevor may not reply to your very negative replies but I'm here to make sure you don't bad mouth our name as we are here to help job seekers look for work and employers find a easier way to advertise there job.

I wasn't bad mouthing. My

I wasn't bad mouthing. My first question (paid or unpaid) was out of respect for fellow people, who may be wondering the same thing. Most of us can't afford a zillion subscriptions, and since your post was ambiguous I wanted it clarified. I'm currently in need of work at the moment, and might have joined the site myself (now I'm not so sure...); but I'm also currently paying for an Arts Hub subscription and didn't want to spend the money on another subscription site, especially as you might have the same jobs listings. My second point was that I was, and always will be, curious about who's doing what in terms of arts publications. I did figure out that it was related to Trevor; and my comments were simply in reference that I recalled him doing the site but had long forgotten about it. I do not use the showjobs site and have no particular feelings about it one way or the other. I am happy that he's successful in the site as I recall our meeting before he started it. I have 'bad mouthed' other sites, where I believe it has been correct (see http://www.theatre.asn.au/billboard_bulletins/actors_and_extras_needed_0 for example) and you can see there is quite a difference in tone to what I posted here and when I lambast someone. How you could read tone into little more than three sentences is beyond me, especially as they are ambiguous themselves taken without natural vocal intonation. If you or Trevor think that from our one meeting I would bad mouth either of you, then you're greatly mistaken... furthermore, since closing TPC I have little interest in the 'competition' as it were. Please pass my comments on to him: I assure you, there was no tone in my questions. Perhaps if either one of you have concerns about what I said, you could PM me instead. Bad Mouth Reply

Thank you for your reply and clarification it seems that Trevor, has received misinformed information about this topic and I have forward your comments to him. Also just to let you know Iv joined LPA Entertainment Australia only a year ago to develop backstagejobs.com.au and iv never meet you in person you must be talking about a previous employee. In relation to Showjobs.net Australia this site has been a work in progress with not a lot of funding but just like Arts hub it started out as a free blog and as become after many years of hard work one of the best largest arts employment and news site in Australia. We are just in the starting blocks and have now been in business for 18 months and we have thousands of subscribers joined and we get a few hundred joining every month. The industry is slowly starting to choose to advertise with us as our job count is growing every week. But in saying all this we have notice that our site is getting a lot of Back Stage related jobs so after months of market research we have come up with www.backstagejobs.com.au the site is mainly dedicated entertainment industry and technical based jobs. And just for clarification : Backstagejobs.com.au is 1) Free to search 2) Free work wanted ads 3) You can subscribe to our free jobs bulletin 4) Free industry blog 5) Jobs portal service if backstagejobs.com.au does not have the job you are looking for then our system will search other sites to find the job for you and direct you to the job advertisement. 6) Australia Wide Search 7) Free job posting until the 31st October 2008 But if you are looking for work then give backstagejobs.com.au ago and if you don't find what you are looking for then email us and we will get our development team on it to get those jobs on our site. Also Iv just had a look at your site http://puppetsinmelbourne.com.au/ and I recommend you to email your website link to jobs@backstagejobs.com.au and we will post it to our new links page. Cheers B

Good News

Glad to hear that was cleared up.

Actually, this post was accidentally posted with no content, so I added something to make it a little more ... appropriate? Must be careful what buttons I click.
