Value of QuietOnSet to WA actors
Fri, 4 Jan 2008, 11:53 pmJust wondering if anyone can tell me about QuietOnSet.
I live in WA so I was wondering how good are the calls on the site compared to others? Would it be worth it for me to join?
Couldn't find anything through the search^^^ so if this has already been covered please let me know.
Cheers Em

This hasn't been covered
Sat, 5 Jan 2008, 12:43 amThis hasn't been covered before (ah, a new topic!)...I'm not an actor, or in WA, but I was signed up with the free email list for a long time.
Overall, I would say that the information/jobs provided is predominantly for the Eastern states. There is a range of theatre jobs, but I believe the majority of ads is for local film. I could be wrong... Additionally, there are usually calls for artists (ie. submissions for writers, etc.), ads for stage and screen classes, plus info about grants and other events (meet and greets, etc.).
Personally, I believe it's one of the best publications/sites out there; but I don't know how useful it would be for WA people...
Perhaps someone else will be signed up and have an opinion.
