Perth (and other WA) Theatre Ghosts
Fri, 4 Jan 2008, 08:10 amHi all,
The Treasured Paul and I are meeting this week with a man who is writing a book on ghosts in Western Australia.
Paul and I are helping with the theatre ghosts.
If you feel you can contribute to our knowledge bank, I would love to hear from you as soon as possible.
Could you please email me at yak@git.com.au or phone me on 08 9291 4045 as soon as possible.
And Paul, I forgot to tell you...we're meeting with Joe this week.

Theatre Ghosts
Fri, 11 Jan 2008, 02:36 pmThere was one at the old Patch theatre, when it was in Williams Street Perth.
He was named by George, he would move sets & lights about overnight, always after a strange garlic & onion smell would fill the bio box, during bump in. (May be he should have been named Georgio?)
However I think it was actualy cooking odours from Millies Deli, which was on the floor below the theatre. also I often wonder if a more likely suspect was old David Cran who actualy inistigated this? keeping the myth alive.
There was one at the Playhouse. It was supposedly the ghost of Jimmy Punch a scenic artist. He was burnt to death on stage, while painting a backdrop.
Jimmy always had a smoke in his mouth while painting & lit up while cleaning his brushes & tools with meths & Turps.
The story was mentioned to me during painting drop cloths there, by Bobby Sherman back in the 60's.
Also check with Andy King at the Maj, I think there are a few from the Music Hall/Variety days knocking about there.
TOI TOI TOI CHOOKAS
[May you always play to a full house] Hear the lights & see the sounds.
