The final curtain has come down on a grand old gentleman of the KADS theatre. We have lost a friend & mentor. Our sympathy & love to Joan. (Prior to joining KADS in 1973 Joan & Lional were also members of the Patch Theatre, Perth Repertory and the old Darling Range Repertory Club)

RE: Lionel Clarke 1923 - 2001

Lionel Clarke will be sadly missed - he was a true gentleman who had an immense fund of theatrical knowledge; his fascinating stories of Perth's early theatre people & venues were sharply observed & told with a wealth of detail which would have filled a book or two.
With deep sympathy to Joan - I will remember Lionel's story-telling with much pleasure.

The best I can do is quote Hunter S Thompson:

"Though the links be fewer, let the circle remain unbroken"

Rest well, Lionel
