Hi Ho the Glamorous Life
Sat, 21 Apr 2001, 07:47 pmA bit off-topic in that it's not really Australian, but hopefully still of interest.
Check out The Glamorous Life - it's a week-daily serial about life on the road of a long running touring musical (The Count of Monte Christo). Some very funny jokes and heart-felt observations about life as a struggling performer.
It's written by Scott Logsdon who spent many years on the road in the US tour of the long running Les Miz. There's the standard disclaimer about any resemblance to real life events or persons being purely coincidental. Uh huh. :-)
So boot up the browser (ha ha ha), link to The Glamorous Life.

I took up my keyboard and checked this link out- fans of "Waiting forGuffman" and "This is Spinal Tap" are well advised to give it a look. It's screamingly funny!!!!
Just the idea of a staged reading of "Battlefield Earth: the Musical" had me losing any form of control over my bladder.... those of you wishing to pursue a career in theatre may just wish to give it a miss as it's a little pointed; not so much "A Star is Born" as "A Scar is Torn"....
