I was just wondering what questions do talent agencys ask you in a interview? do they ask u to read a monologe? also do you need to bring anything to the interview? i'm very new to this and have no experience, but i'm interested in this field of work.

Its Very Funny

It is very funny to me how the same question pops up every month or so on agents. And even more funny how it’s always Laburg, Na and I who always answer the question the same way. Can I make a suggestion to all new people out there, look at some of the recent posts for say the last 2 months and I am sure you will find the answer you are looking for. But in relation to Shimmeramy's question, agents usually will ask you to perform a monologue and to have an updated CV and possible headshot. They do this to 1) see how you perform, 2) see what you have done beforehand, and 3) how well you can perform under pressure and 4) to see if they can make money out of you. No agent will put a performer on the books unless they can make money out of you. As Na said: Ask what commission they take out of the pay To answer Butlin's question, the three main acting agencies in Perth are: Actors Now, Actors Management, and Frog Management. There are other agents about that specialize in shopping centre entertainment, corporate events, etc but it depends on what you mainly want to do. I have said it before, do your homework! Especially before you hand over money, look on the internet, ask people who are with them, ask people who are no longer with them, and finally ask the agent what they can do for you. Hope this helps everyone concerned Keep Smiling :) David Green DRAGON FILMS www.davidgreenenterprises.com
