Acting Lessons
Fri, 30 Mar 2001, 03:07 pmG'day Folks,
I'm looking for someone or some place that can offer lessons in the art of acting for THEATRE.
Now, i am sure that there must be an abundance of places around here for that?
I haven't had much luck so far however, as most of the one's i found via the yellow pages were either for young'uns, or for film and television.
Ideally, somwhere near Fremantle would be good, but i am willing to travel (as long as it is somewhere near Perth!).
So, if any of you'se fine folks know of a ripper teacher or can recommend someone/someplace that has taught you well , please, post your'e feedbak here.
Thanks!

Apparently Kaff is the place to go (If they're still around....?) for adult theatre training. NIDA regularly sings the praises of Wilson McAskill at their auditions who runs (ran?) the place. Alternatively, call WAAPA who often run very good open short courses. The NIDA open programme run in Perth once a year all day, every day for a week in the middle of the year - these are amazing. Have a look at the NIDA website:

for details.
Hope this helps!
