On line Spammer - WARNING!!

We have a Spammer on the ITA which is currently being looked into. In the meanwhile

DO NOT FORWARD ANY PERSONAL DETAILS INCLUDING FAX OR PHONE NUMBERS, BANK DETAILS, PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION OVER THE INTERNET!!!

Action will be taken against this Spammer as soon as possible.

I think you meant to say _another_ spammer.

If some people haven't got the message about these types of scams yet and can't pick them at a thousand paces, then they're probably not going to understand either of our messages.

Also worth taking a chill pill on the identity theft front. Last I checked, fax and phone numbers are freely available at www.whitepages.com.au 

Yes, identity theft is real but it's mostly about stealing PINs and passwords that allow access to personalised services.

I've been on holiday for a bit more than a week (and didn't advertise the fact, for obvious reasons) so it's taken a little longer than usual but "SUNNY OBOROS" account is toast.

Actually, I wasn't even thinking about ID Theft on this posting ;-) I know of someone who (rather unfortunately) took a chance on something like this. They were then hounded, faxed, called until they had to change their numbers and other contact details. The method is to use every kind of psychological trick in the book (it would appear) to squeeze as much money out for you and keep you hanging on for that big fictious dollar value.

The ID Theft was another posting thread wasn't it?

Just doing my bit to make life for the scammers that little bit harder. :LOL:
