Doing A New Play in Perth
Wed, 21 Mar 2001, 04:13 pmHello everyone.
Hoping someone can help with suggestions to help with my preliminary plans to do my play Big Dicks on Stage [yes it IS a comedy]...in Perth sometime this year. Where are the cheaper theatre spaces to rent [that people go to], what's the availability of male actors for co-op based work, is there a market/audience for gay plays, plays with gay themes? Is it still possible to frighten the horses? Any thoughts would be appreciated but pls try and email me directly though I do check this site occassionally.
Steven

Wed, 21 Mar 2001, 05:01 pmHi Steven
BlueRoom and yes to all your questions.
Check out:
Make it snappy the next deadline is April.
Good luck! I wouldn't label myself as being particularly in the market for gay plays, but from what i've heard (not all of it what you've had to say about the show yourself!) it should be great fun!
Cheers
