Music Copyright matters for films
Sat, 2 Dec 2006, 05:12 pmHi,
My name's Luke and I have joined this site3 because a good friend of mine has. He is a movie maker. i hope to be one too. I may only be 12 but i still can do pretty cool stuff with editing and stuff. Does anyone know anything about the copyrighting stuff needed to know to use music in short films?
Future Movie Maker,
Luke

Try visiting APRA and the Copyright Council... Can't remember the urls, but just do a Google and it should come up. APRA is the Australian Performing Rights Association and deals with all copyright issues with music in Australia.
