NSW - TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Auditions for Scout, Jem, Dill and Atticus.
Mon, 20 Nov 2006, 08:17 pmHave you always wanted a crack at these roles in
To Kill A
MOCKINGBIRD?
Now is your chance.
The stage role of Atticus is a complex one, involving justice, equality,
humility and sensitivity, all the qualities reflected in this play
adapted from Harper Lee’s book. Approx age: late 30s -50s- or can play
these ages.
Scout is a child whose views on society, equality and fair play are coloured by her interactions and experiences in a small southern American town in the depression years. Age approx: 9-13
Her brother Jem is slightly older, wiser and a little world weary, having such a ‘dull’ father and demanding younger sister in a ‘slow’ country town.
Age approx: 9-13
Dill is the precocious friend who develops a knowledge and insight far in advance of his years.
Age approx:9-13
Together they live through an adventure which is one of the biggest incidents in their lives. It teaches them why it is wrong to ‘kill a mockingbird’.
Campbelltown Theatre Group Inc. are holding an orientation evening and
