Interactive Theatre - PERTH WORKSHOP
Tue, 13 Mar 2001, 12:00 pmWant to expand your skills and try a brand of theatre you may not have tasted before?
Interactive Theatre is an exciting medium and it doesn’t get any more “live” than this!
Interactive theatre blurs the line between actor and audience by involving everyone in action-based, "theatre of life" events.
This powerful, hybrid art form merges the concepts such as:
role play, improvised theatre, theatre-in-education & interactive simulation to create the theatre’s version of “virtual reality”.
We are currently seeking: Actors, Writers, Performers, Players, Directors, Educators and the chronically curious to participate in a series of exploratory workshops.
These hands-on weekly workshops, will introduce the concept of Interactive Theatre and will involve the opportunity for participants to learn new skills and devise their own work.
The workshops will run for 10 weeks from April 30th 2001 on a Monday evening and will include the possibility of developing professional opportunities for some participants.
Participants who complete the full course will receive a certificate of completion.
A background in theatre or writing is preferred but all enquiries are welcome.
If it sounds like you or you would like to know more, please contact us and we will send you more information and an application form.
Alternatively, if it sounds good, but you can't commit to the course, ask to join our Interactive Theatre Mailing List and we'll kepe you updated and invite you to specific events.
