I am interested in taking some drama classes at an acting studio run by Bruce Alexander. As someone who does not earn that much money, I want to make sure he is reputable before I pay $480 for a three hour, once a week for ten week drama class. Has anyone attended his classes? Please let me know ASAP!!!

Thanks, Alex.

That's what I thought, but I do like to get some feed back...I'm very much a look (once, twice, thrice) before you leap, but I fully intend to do them.

Hummm

I see Bruce Alexander is an actor, but does he have a website for his classes to assess his credentials. Its ok to act but to teach acting is a different matter. I did a google and couldnt find much at all however that may mean nothing???? Can you give me a web page and whre his classes are?

Hi Eugene, I've been to

Hi Eugene, I've been to many of Bruces classes and they are indeed a treat. He is defined as one of Australias greatest Acting teachers and no, he isnt paying me to write this! After struggeling to find a course that was challenging and interesting I was delighted to stumble apon the Melbourne Actors Studio (Bruces School). I think he trained in the UK and has worked all over the world... check out www.melbourneactingstudio.com.au

Thanks PJ - the website on your post was the site I found the classes on. The first thing that caught my eye were the small classes, and I do my first class on Monday so I will keep anyone interested posted on how I find it. Cheers everyone for your replies, they've helped me. Eugene!!!

bruce alexander

Bruce has taught me for some time and I can't recommend him more highly for his skills as a teacher. He is absolutely committed to his students and his knowledge extends far beyond drama techniques and will help you identify and move beyond your habits and self imposed limitations in an environment free of pretention and judgement. I wouldn't usually bother to write comments on things but Bruce has my respect so give it a go I reckon.
