I am currently casting for several roles for a short film to be shot in the Kiama/Illawarra region. Here is the information. Can you please post this around. I have been writing pitches all week so I'll try and condense it down to as simple of form as I can for you. The film is currently titled "River". It will be a 30-45 minute film. Shot in the Kiama/Dunmore/Jamberoo region. It is about a young girl forced to live with her Uncle in the Outback. Detached from her Uncle in a farming community begins to witness violent visions of creatures and night by night she is haunted by them. Almost in a hyponotic state she begins to chase after them in the vast wastelands. However, in time as her pyschoisis grows more intense the more her visions are beginning to form into reality. Of course I could drag on about subtext and so forth. But I think that shall be enough. I need about 4 Male late 30's/40+ actors. I need one male for the 2nd lead role of the Uncle. I can of course give more information if anyone seems interested. The film I am currently writing, the script is almost finished. I am directing and producing it. It will be shot over the 19-22nd of June. A laregly based student film shot on some very high tech equipment. I plan to then edit it, give those involved a DVD and then submit the film to every available film festival I can possibly find on the planet! I have already casted two female leads, including that of the main girl. The crew is somewhat large and my house will be the "base camp" of the production. Catering will be provided to all those involved. I will be shooting several scenes in Kiama in co-ordination with the community. This is a somewhat of a community project. Margaret Gumley an old writer of the Kiama Indepdeant is helping Produce it with me along with Warren Steele of Steele Real Estate. So thats about it. Here is my contact information: Daniel Dahlman Phone: 04-38-622-056 Home Phone:42-378-785 Email: dahlmandaniel@hotmail.com I thank you so much. Sincerely, Daniel
