Has anyone actually held a conversation in the new chat room?

Or have you found it empty everytime you've visited?

Well, i'm sticking my neck out and nominating a time for tomorrow night. I may be talking to myself, but no-one can say i didn't try!

:-)

Cheers

RE: Chat Sunday 8pm

I was almost tempted to put a false name on because this question is so bloody stupid, but I've got no idea how this whole new fangled chat thingy works! What are we meant to do? Just enter a name and click connect? Damn crazy technology...maybe I'm just really slow when it comes to stuff like this. ::sigh:: Maybe you can enlighten me a bit, Grant?

RE: Chat Sunday 8pm

Tracy you didn't fool me for a minute with that fake name! What will Angela say when she finds out you've been posting silly questions under her name?

;-)

Yes, enter a name and click connect. You will then be able to type in the space below and your and other people's messages appear in the area above in "real-time". Just like the message boards, only live!

For anyone that is having difficulty accessing the chat room:

I understand the java that drives the chat room may cause problems for some browsers. I've tested it in Windows 98/ME/2000, Macintosh System 8.1, and Linux using recent versions of Netscape and Explorer. It works with all of them, but is not stable on all systems. My apologies in advance for any problems you might encounter. The chat room is hosted off-site and i've no way of fixing compatability issues.

Should your browser "hang" or stop responding after you enter the chat room, you may need to press CTRL-ALT-DEL and remove the offending task. A reboot may even be necessary. Either of these is guaranteed to restore your system again although you may lose any unsaved work.

Cheers
Grant
