Apology
Tue, 9 Jan 2001, 11:47 amIn the Jan/Feb issue of the ITA LINK comment was made by a correspondent about the lighting at the presentation section of the recent Finley Awards being "dismal'
Something I then said made it appear that the Bridge Theatre people were 'at fault'. this was certainly NOT the case and any impression that the Bridge Theatre's lighting is substandard is regretted. David explained to me that he assumed that the presentations would be held centre stage and had organised the lighting for that. As you all know you can't just instantly re-set theatre lights. I guess it was an unfortunate misunderstanding.
I would like to make it quite clear that David Yardley and his staff did everthing in their power to ensure the success of the evening and the ITA Committee are very appreciative of everthing they have done for us.
99% of the comments about the venue have been enthusiastic and the ITA are more than happy to recommend the Theatre.
(I did hear a rumour about a certain musical being reprised there later this year)
