Hello all. I write a regular Arts column for Hype Magazine as well as previews/reviews of locally produced and/or performed pieces. While Hype has 4 pages dedicated to the Arts we often find it difficult to fill them as VERY FEW LOCAL COMPANIES SEND US PRESS RELEASES OR INVITATIONS!
We are having to devote this potentially valuable page space to (Inter)National film, visual arts, poetry and stage pieces due to the poor amount/quality of local publicity material.
This is a chance for easy, free publicity! As a productive member of the Arts community I know the value of being visible but this outlet is passing many of you by.
Email your material to Arts Editor Jo Abbie at or send it to me, Gibson Nolte, c/- the Hype office: Level 1/14-16, Rowland Road, Subiaco, 6008.
Bear in mind that Hype is (currently) published bi-weekly so you have to plan well ahead.
While I cannot, of course, guarantee inclusion in the Arts pages, at least by sending material you have given yourself a chance for publicity you might not otherwise have had.
Cheers,
Gibson Nolte.
