Winners of the Equity Benevolent Guild Awards were announced at a ceremony held Saturday 25/11/00. Winners included:

Best Actor (Female) - Rosemary Barr appearing in Effie Crumps' Three Tall Women.

Best Actor (Male) - Michale Loney appearing in President Wilson in Paris at Effie Crump Theatre.

Best Production - Black Swan Theatre Company for Plainsong.

The Souther Cross Award and Guild Awards for lifetime service to the arts were both won by creator and curator of the WA Performing Arts Museum, Ivan King.

Judges for Guild awards were Geoff Gibbs former Dean of WAAPA, Peter Kingston Head of Theatre at WAAPA, Ron Banks Arts Editor at The West Australian and community theatre celebrity and recent festival adjudicator, Kerri Hilton.

Congrats to all concerned.
