Musical Theatre is a complex entertainment medium that combines acting, singing and dance. The 'Acting' component of the Musical Theatre course is designed to develop the students' talents, confidence and creativity to meet the demands of the Musical Theatre industry. The ‘Singing’ component is designed to teach students some of the basic elements of vocal technique needed for participation in musical theatre productions. Participants will be expected to learn at least two songs each over the course of the term.

This course will appeal to those who wish to strengthen their acting skills for audition purposes. The course is suitable for singers/solo performers who have some performance experience.

When: Monday 6pm - 9pm
Cost: $450 per term

Dear Dyannah,
My name is Mikki Reed and I am a nineteen-year-old female from Melbourne. I am very interested in a career in musical theatre. I was to undergo a certificate for this subject but unfortunately, it was cancelled. I am going to participate in a community musical called 'The Fire Cycle', so I'm very excited about that. But I would like help in being pushed in the direction of a real musical and musical theatre courses. If you could help me, it would be very much appreciated.

Sincerely,
Mikki Reed.
