COSTUME HIRE FOR THEATRE COMPANIES
Wed, 15 June 2005, 08:57 amMelbourne Theatre Company Costume Hire has undergone a significant change.
We no longer hire to individuals for parties or one off events. Now we cater solely to Industry groups and Schools for theatrical productions of any size.
We see industry groups being Film makers - amateur and professional, Amateur theatre, professional theatre, photographers and anything that may be connected.
The basic pre-requisite is that you are no using us for fancy dress hire.
We hire to anywhere in Australia and are very reasonable. We have an extensive stock of period clothing from Medieval to Edwardian as well as some 20th century clothing.
We also have some show sets of costumes for example "The Crucible", "A Little Night Music", "Urinetown" and more.
We can pretty much put together a set for your current show. We also have a large milinery store and can fill all of your "hat" needs.
Unfortunately we do not hire shoes/footwear or wigs but we can recomend places for you to look for these.
Reduced rates apply for Schools doing VCE performance.
Costume hire is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am until 4.30pm but only by appointment.
For an appoinment please call John on (03)9684 4510 any time. If he isn't there he will return you call asap.

I would like to enquire about the cost of hiring some 'Can Can' type dance costumes for a performance at my school (Yarra Valley Grammar). We would require between 10 and 20 - will be able to finalise numbers this week. The performance will be July 26th 2005.
