Hi Ashton
The entries closed at the end of last week. The heats are being organised now and after a final meeting next tuesday night, the clubs will be contacting everyone and you will be advised of the time and place of your particular heat.
Break a leg!

Hi Ashton
I am having a meeting tomorrow night with the coordinators of all of the heats. We will discuss all the things that we need to discuss and after the meeting the coordinators will be contacting their contestants for their heats.
The competition is certainly big enough to find another huge number of very talented people. I have no doubt that this years grand final will be just as good as last years!
Break a leg Ashton. I hope to see you at one of the heats or the semi finals and the grand final!

Re: Storm The Stage
I have my audition on this saturday, and I only found out last week, and i have had exams throughout the last two weeks and my last exam is tomorrow. So I have one day to practice my piece, I'm probably gonna walk in there and suck really bad.
Also, they said to supply your own costume, but to what extent should this be? I mean i'm doing a monologue from the 1800s and i don't know if i have to go full-out and get an 1800s dress.. any recommendations??

Hi "suffocator"
Firstly , just relax about the costume bit. There is absolutely no necessity to do anything in terms of costume , rehearsal blacks is fine, some sort of costume is fine if you wish to. It is up to you.
Secondly, it isn't an audition. It is a heat in the competition. The judges will choose from your heat, people to go through to the semi finals.
Thirdly and I think most importantly, if you walk in with the attitude that you are going to "suck" you probably will. You need to go with a really positive attitude, enjoy your performance and do your best. No one can ask for more than that.
You did have to choose your monologue /song a number of weeks ago. I would hope that you would have rehearsed it a number of times before deciding that that was the right one for you to do.
Enjoy and break a leg for Saturday. There are two heats on saturday, one at the Old Mill and one at Darlington. I will be at the Darlington one, so I might see you there.
