WA short film- lead actor needed
Mon, 23 May 2005, 04:40 pmHi there,
My name is Naomi Collett and i am the second assistant director on the short film being made by the tafe (WA) advanced diploma film students.
We are still looking for our lead actor Usaif. (middle-eastern looking, 17 years old)
You will be needed from Saturday the 4th of June to Wednesday the 8th of June.
The work is paid! Rate to be advised.
Below is the story synopsis and Usaif's character description.
Synopsis:
The Film is centred around history teacher Amy, (thirty-something, less than happy with her current place in life) and her quickening by a passionate young student Usaif, whose politically active stance against Mandatory detention reminds her of her past, and how she has changed. Usaif defies Amy to take a chance and recapture her former power, but how far will she go to take control of her life again?
USAIF (actor required 16- early 20s YOUTHFUL APPEARANCE) Spurred by a personal family member in Mandatory Detention, Usaif has been inspired to take control, and fight against a government regime that he feels is unfair. Inspired in more than one way by his teacher Amy, Usaif seeks to make a difference in the world. He is a street wise young man, with a hint of rebellion, and quiet confidence that Amy can not help but be attracted to.
You do not need to have acting experience. If you are interested please contact Lucile Weigel (the director) on 0402557335 or at lucileweigel@hotmail.com
