Hi There

The TAFE (WA) advanced diploma film students are currently looking for extras for the short film entitled "Under-Skin"

The story is about history teacher Amy (30s) and her student Usaif, a middle-eastern boy who, spurred by a family member in mandatory dentention, protests about what he feels is wrong, and reminds Amy about how she has changed from when she was young, and cared enough about things to speak out and protest.

In this short film, there will be a mayor scene where 60-70 people protest on the streets of fremantle about mandatory detention. (the whole thing is fake, and the coucil will have approved the shutting down of this street to the public.) What this means is that we'll need heaps of extras to play the protesters. They can be any age, race or gender. (though we are looking for at least 20-25 middle-eastern looking people).

Unforunitly, the extras will not be paid, but food will be provided. You will also be given full credit in the film.
We are hoping to do the scene on Sunday the 5th of June, however the shoot may have to be pushed back to the following sunday the 12th of June. We would prefer if the extras could be there for up to 8 hours, but even if you could just do 5 or 4 that would still help us greatly.

We also need 10 extras (6 middle eastern, 4 other and all adults) for a small "informative protest" where they will chain themselves together. This scene will be shot on Tuesday the 7th of June.

We also need 5 "featred extras" to play police officers. (mainly men, and they must look like police.

If you are interested or please let me know asap at captain_naomi@hotmail.com or call 0432 956 008.
