I'm looking for a 60+ yr old (looking) male actor in Melbourne for a one hour long play (2 actors). Its early days and the rights to the play need to be aquired and a location needs to be found but if your interested email me and I'll give you more details. I am an asian girl in melbourne and would like to try it out in acting. I am willing to start from a scratch.

Why would you reply to an ad for 60+ male? You're better off doing a search for female parts...
If you want to try acting, then I suggest taking some classes or go to an amateur group before going into a professional show. Many young (and old) first-time performers find the theatre too tough and too time-consuming to begin in professional shows.
I can suggest that you go to the Australian Centre of Performing Arts, www.acopa.com.au, in Nth Melb. If you speak to Lindsay Saddington, the director, he will be happy to give you some advice (he's a really nice guy!), and he runs some good classes that you can join.
