New Australian Production!!!
First time in MELBOURNE

Sixteen Words for Water
At the Carlton Courthouse
Opening Wednesday March 9 until Saturday March 26
Wednesdays and Sundays at 6.30pm
Thursdays to Saturdays at 8.00pm

Indicted for treason and detailed without trial for 13 years, Ezra Pound - the 'father of modern poetry' and renowned fascist and anti-semite - awaits judgment in a Washington institution for the criminally insane. Is he sane enough to face trial and the electric chair?

Suspended between Freedom and 'freedom of speech', ol' Ez finds himself invaded by memories of the Aboriginal Wandjina stories - spirits whose creation threatened chaos.

Written by Billy Marshall-Stoneking
Directed by Laurence Strangio
Performed by Tim Robertson, Caroline Lee and Natasha Jacobs
Designed by Peter Corrigan
