Hi, im a fifteen year old student into my sixteenth year of school i have done drama at my local high school for the last two years and will be taking part in TEE drama this current year, i have always exelled as an actor and i enjoy writing and directing. i plan to take my acting ambissions further into uni but the competion for a spot is daunting, although it is still a few years off i would like to use the time i have to take my acting career head on and i dont belive i am doing enough to help myself.

i have been spending alot of time searching the web for a reputable out of school drama school for my area but to no avail. I just cant find any advertissing anywhere! wheather it is due to lack of advertisment or my skills on a computer i dont know but im hoping that i could use this site to get my predicament noticed. if anyone has any information on any out of school drama schools in perth and surrounding area ( i like to broaden my options) please post us some infromation. thx

by the way to the owner of this site i have spent much time serching through all the postings and information given in return and it has proven so usefully for me, so i would like to take the time to say what your doing here is great, and to those who seem to be so offended at the postings from kids such as myself point me to somewhere else that has such a jucy array of accesable information. If the oportunity for help is there we will use it....

hello Nick

Thank you for the kind words of support for Grant and his efforts.

I have a technical background so cannot help you directly but if you use the search site facility for "Black Swan Youth", there are posts on workshops, and there is now a youth section of this web site you may get contact details from.

Black swan are now based in Nedlands, next to UWA and their posts also mention Barking Gekko.

You are heading in the right direction, if you can, do some amateur productions so you can learn from their directors. Even auditions give you feedback.

Don
