FREE COPYRIGHT SEMINAR AT FTI
Thu, 16 Sept 2004, 01:20 pmAs part of ArtsLaw Week, Sally Hanson from the ArtsLaw Centre of Australia will be presenting a free seminar at FTI on Wednesday September 29, 2004 from 2-5pm The seminar will cover the following film related issues:
Basic copyright concepts applying to the production and distribution of films, including the concept of "chain of title" and copyright clearances;
How to deal with copyright and moral rights in various film production contracts;
Marketing your film:
What to look out for in festival entry conditions;
Important terms in distribution agreements, and differences between online and traditional film distribution contracts.
Q & A session
Individual consultation sessions (20 mins max) with Sally Hanson to discuss copyright and/or legal advice can also be made in advance. The consultation sessions will run between 6-8pm.
