WA - Shortfilm Auditions
Tue, 20 July 2004, 11:00 pmAt Trinity College, East Perth on Friday, 23rd July, from 9:30-11:00 AM
auditions are being held for a local shortfilm, entitled Darwin.
A short film about family problems, bullying and the value of friends,
directed by Josh Bauer and written by Warwick Doddrell.
Planning to film august/september on location at Trinity College, with a
predominantly teen cast, looking for talented and enthusiastic actors
for the 4 adult roles.
Mature Teacher – Male (40-55) An experience teacher in a guardian
role in the private school. Several scenes with significant dialogue.
Looking for medium-tall, short facial hair, thin-medium build.
Young Teacher – Male (20-30) A young teacher who has a new way of
doing things. Several scenes with significant dialogue. Looking for
average height, medium build. Short hair.
Father – Male (40 – 50) A mature violent father struggling through a
divorce. Several scenes with dialogue and violence. Looking for tall,
medium build, long-ish hair.
Mother – Female (35-45) A mature, calm mother struggling through a
divorce, single life and looking after her son. Several scenes with
important dialogue and violence. Looking for short, thin with shorter
hair.
Teenage actors, aged 13-17 are invited to audition for the main roles,
and numerous supporting roles, ranging the innocent title character
with low self-esteem to the outgoing, nasty bully characters.
Audition scripts are available in advance for those who would like one.
Auditions are being held at Gibney Hall, Trinity College, East Perth.
9:30 – 11:00 AM, Friday 23rd July.
