Rob the martyr
Dear Mr Martyr,
You might want to give auditionees the opportunity of knowing where this short film is actually being shot. You see, this is part of a thing called the INTERNET (or World Wide Web if you like) which means everybody from all over the world will see it.
It won't serve much purpose if somebody from Hoboken - New Jersey, Guildford - Surrey, Cape Town - South Africa or New Dehli - India sees this and starts flooding the message listings with requests of being in this shoot with remarks like 'pick me I'm great!'
We are already flooded with teenagers from all over the world asking for auditions to be 'great actors/actresses and models' who are begging for roles in films and TV etc. This kind of saturation has actually made this web site less attractive and quite useless to visit, and it seems that most users are avoiding putting in constructive criticisms or requests because no one wants to visit this site very much anymore.
Think about it!

Re: Rob the martyr
It is quite clear that it is sydney based, but a valid point has been raised. A standard Protcol should state that auditions should be advertised as:
"Audition - Location - Who/what"
In the subject title.

Don't assume that anyone else does. It is as much for Mr Martyr's benefit as it is for this web site. I doubt that he would like his 2MB email quota being flooded with about 1000 pointless emails from all over the world!

Sorry, more detail added to classified ad. However no story details will be posted as the script can only be obtained upon request.

Whoa ! How about you read it again, and then tell us where the heck do you get ANY indication to make it so clear that it is in Sydney????
If the respondents to the message jump to conclusions as fast as you have, people will soon be asking Rob which San Francisco cablecar or which London Underground station is closest to his audition...!
Cheers

ISP: tnt5.syd2.da.uu.net
You are right, not all ISP's (or indeed IP's) are as easily accessible as this one. Hence, protocol. :)
